I’ve been dreaming for a long time of a lovely autumn picnic with my family. And I’m happy that last Sunday we were blessed with gorgeous fall weather and a fabulous day out in nature.
A few years ago we found our “secret picnic spot” that we fell in love with. Located in a mountainous area outside the city, this place is just stunning with its beautiful surroundings and breathtaking mountain views. It’s irresistibly beautiful at all seasons… And the best part is that we’re almost always alone, surrounded by the beauty and peace of nature.
So the big day I woke up early in the morning to prepare some delicious dishes for our picnic. I decided to surprise the kids with their favorite vegan tartlets with vegetables, accompanied by roasted carrots with dill, lettuce salad with roasted sweet potatoes and pomegranate and vegan carob cake with walnuts and pomegranate. Well, they loved everything but the cake was a total hit : )

With lots of laughter, outdoor fun with the kids and delicious homemade food, that was a fabulous Sunday autumn picnic with my family. And I’m full of happiness : )
