Happy Monday, lovelies! With tons of snow and freezing temperatures outside I can only dream of a warm and cosy mountain hideaway where to curl up with a book and a cup of tea : ) If you are in the same romantic winter mood just like me, our house tour today is just for you! I’m excited to show you the spectacular V-Lodge, a minimalist mountain cabin, located in the mountains above the village Ål in Norway. Owned by a family of five, this all-year cabin has the perfect location amidst ski slopes in winter and great hiking tracks in summer. Sounds amazing!
V-Lodge is designed by the talented architects from Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter. What is truly incredible about this minimalist mountain cabin is that it consists of two bodies, united in a V-shaped plan. The main branch accommodates the entrance hall as well as kitchen, dining and living zones, combined in an open space. The second one consists of three bedrooms, a bathroom and a youth lodge, each of them located on stepped levels in alignment with the falling terrain.
As you can see from the beautiful pictures, V-Lodge has an extremely cosy and relaxing atmosphere. The highlight of this gorgeous home are the stunning glazed walls boasting breathtaking views over the surrounding landscape. What a beautiful way to bring the outdoors inside!
Look how warm and cosy looks this lovely minimalist mountain cabin during the evening… Can you imagine living in such a beautiful place in the mountains?
