Can you imagine living in an old cave house, surrounded by olive trees, cactus and almond trees? I surely do : ) So, I can’t wait to take you on a short trip to the beautiful Spanish island of Ibiza. A place that has always enchanted me with its gorgeous rustic houses.
An old cave house, turned into a dreamy summer retreat
Today’s inspiration is this charming 400-year old cave house, which is an absolute proof of Ibiza’s rustic beauty. The happy owners of this little gem are a couple from New York. They barely renovated the house and preserved its beautiful architecture since the building is historically protected. They only updated the kitchen by mixing new modern amenities with the rustic charm of place.
I absolutely adore how the traditional Ibiza decor is lovingly mixed with gorgeous ethnic and rustic touches. As always, I fell in love with the stunning old wooden beams that perfectly contrast the white washed walls of the house.
The rustic ethnic bedrooms are an absolute dream! They look so cosy and serene, and the perfect spot to unwind and relax.
… And those rustic handmade doors are just stunning!
To be honest this beautiful 400-year old cave house absolutely stole my heart : ) I wouldn’t mind spending my summers in this pure heaven… How about you, loves?
If you want to stay a little bit more on the beautiful Spanish island, come with me and take a look at this adorable 45 m2 Ibiza Campo House. It’s a lovely 200-year old finca, converted into a family holiday home.
Have you also taken a peek at this colorful summer home, full of love and positive vibes? It’s one of my absolute favorite houses on Ibiza : )
This beautifully restored Ibiza villa is so inspiring too. The house is isolated on more than 10.000 square meters of land and offers the chance to enjoy breathtaking sea views and sunsets.
