Hey, guys : ) How’s your week been so far? We have a grey and rainy weather here and unfortunately we haven’t seen the sun for the last 3 days. It’s a lot of time. However, I’m trying to start my day with a smile and a positive energy. And this easy and insanely tasty Pear, banana and date smoothie bowl is maybe the best way to beat the unfriendly weather : )
You need only 5 minutes to make this healthy energizing breakfast. I mixed some ripe bananas and freshly picked homegrown pears with dates, chia seeds and maca powder. Fresh goji berries, pears, bananas and organic cornflakes seem to be the perfect combo for the smoothie topping. I’m so thankful my hubby’s parents grow so many fruits and vegetables in their enchanting garden. One of the highlights is for sure the goji berries : )
Picking those small and super healthy berries turns out such a peaceful and relaxing process.
Ingredients for Pear, banana and date smoothie bowl:
Serves 2
2 ripe bananas, peeled and roughly chopped
1 pear, roughly chopped
10-12 medjool dates, pitted
2 cups of water
2 tbsp. chia seeds, soaked
2 tsp. maca powder
Instructions for Pear, banana and date smoothie bowl:
1. Put bananas, pears and dates in a blender. Pour the water and blend until smooth.
2. Add chia seeds and maca powder, blend for about 30 seconds and pour the mixture in a bowl.
3. Top with pear and banana slices, fresh (or dried) goji berries and yummy organic cornflakes.
